About Cathy Busby
Physical Therapist, MS, OCS, MTC, and FAAOMPT at Physical Solutions
Cathy Busby founded Physical Solutions to provide a systematic approach for individuals to achieve peak physical performance. During twenty years of working with athletes and active individuals, Cathy has been successful in identifying the underlying causes of sub-optimal physical function, training limitations, and the pain that often results.
Cathy earned her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Duke University. She constantly continues her education and research. In fact, Cathy teaches a course on Extremity Evaluation and Manipulation for the University of St. Augustine. She uses her experience, current research, and basic sciences to create solutions that allow her clients to achieve their goals.
“In my previous careers as a swimming instructor, coach, and health and physical education teacher, my passion has been to assist people in achieving their full physical potential. Becoming a physical therapist has allowed me to take this a step further. I am now able to work with individuals and focus on their problem areas and their goals.” Cathy was born in Chicago, raised in Kentucky and North Carolina, and currently lives in Holly Springs, North Carolina, with her husband Ansel Glendenning and her daughter Cate. Her hobbies include participating in and watching sports, especially woman’s sports and her daughter Cate’s sporting activities.
Experience in Team and Individual Sports
Cathy has successfully helped many individuals return to full training and successful performance in a variety of sports including running, soccer, swimming, cycling, golf, and dance. As a record-holding, life-long athlete herself, she understands how to work with other athletes and active people.
